Choosing Your Username
Tips for picking the perfect username for your Itzme profile.
Why Your Username Matters
Your username becomes your Itzme URL: itz.me/yourusername. This is the link you'll share everywhere - on your resume, social media, and business cards.
Best Practices
Use your real name
itz.me/johnsmith or itz.me/janedoe - easy to remember and professional
Keep it short
Shorter is better for typing and sharing. Aim for under 15 characters.
Avoid numbers if possible
johnsmith is better than johnsmith123 - looks more professional
Use lowercase letters
Usernames are case-insensitive, but lowercase looks cleaner in URLs
What If Your Name Is Taken?
Try these variations:
- Add your middle initial: johnsmith → johndsmith
- Use your full name: johnsmith → johnsmithjr
- Add your profession: johnsmith → johnsmithdesign
- Try different spellings: johnsmith → jonsmith
Important: Usernames cannot be changed after signup. Choose wisely!
Username Requirements
