Complete guide to setting up your Itzme profile page.

Your Itzme profile is your professional home on the web. Let's set it up to make a great first impression.

Accessing Your Profile Settings

1. Log in to your Itzme Dashboard
2. Click "Profile" in the left sidebar
3. You'll see all your profile settings in one place

Your Profile Information

Display Name

This appears at the top of your profile page, above your bio.

Best practices:

• Use your full name: "John Smith" or "Jane Doe"
• Include credentials if relevant: "Dr. Sarah Johnson" or "John Smith, CPA"
• Keep it professional and recognizable

Where it appears:

• Top of your Itzme page
• Search results
• Link previews when shared on social media

Username

Your username was set during signup and becomes your URL: itz.me/username

Bio

Your bio is a short description that appears under your name. You have up to 150 characters.

Tips for writing your bio:

• Lead with your current role or expertise
• Add a unique detail or achievement
• Mention your location if relevant for networking
• Include what you're looking for (jobs, clients, connections)
• Keep it concise but informative

Profile Picture

Your profile picture helps people recognize you and adds personality to your page.

Uploading Your Photo

1. In the Profile section, click on your current avatar
2. Select "Upload Photo"
3. Choose an image from your device
4. The image uploads automatically

Photo Requirements

• Format: JPG, PNG, or WebP
• Size: Minimum 400x400 pixels recommended
• File size: Maximum 5MB
• Shape: Square works best (automatically cropped to circle)

Photo Tips

✅ Good profile photos:

• Professional headshot
• Clear, well-lit face
• Friendly expression
• Simple background
• Recent photo (within 2-3 years)

❌ Avoid:

• Group photos (which one are you?)
• Distracting backgrounds
• Low-quality or pixelated images
• Sunglasses or hats that hide your face
• Party photos or casual selfies
• Logos or graphics (unless you're a brand)

No Photo?

If you don't upload a photo, we'll display your initials in a colorful avatar.

Preview Your Profile

As you make changes, click the "Preview" button to see how your profile looks to visitors.

Saving Your Changes

All changes are saved automatically when you:

• Add or edit your display name
• Update your bio
• Upload a new profile picture

You'll see a confirmation message when changes are saved successfully.

What Your Profile Looks Like

Your completed profile includes:

1. Profile picture - At the top center
2. Display name - Below your photo
3. Bio - Under your name
4. Links section - All your added links
5. Files section - Public files you've uploaded
6. Footer - "Join me on ItzMe" call-to-action

Your profile automatically looks great on:

The layout adjusts to fit any screen size.

Updating Your Profile

You can update your profile information anytime:

1. Log in to your Dashboard
2. Go to Profile section
3. Make your changes
4. View preview to confirm
5. Changes save automatically
